2012 E350 Xenon DS1 headlamp, passenger side.
It started flickering for a few days. After that it just turns off without flickering within 10 to 30 seconds.
Changed the light bulbs, both sides. Changed the control unit that was behind the bumper, (some of the chats are calling it, the ballast)
These changes didn't have any impact.
The new light bulbs are a bit brighter, and it turns off faster, closer to 10 seconds. The original bulb, turned off closer to 30 seconds. It sounds like the more current, the faster it turns off, maybe!!??
Any ideas? Is there another command module that tells the unit to turn on or off? Is there a relay or fuse I can replace? Help?
My mechanic suggested replacing the while head lamp assembly, which are extremely expensive.
