W213 e220d - was travelling around 25mph when it slammed the brakes on its own and collision warning sound.

What the hell happened?

It certainly thought you were about to have an accident as a stationary object in front of you, did the seatbelt also tighten up?

When my front number plate sticky pad let go and caused the number plate to stick out by about 30cm I kept getting sensor warnings, so I imagine as above it was a large leaf or maybe a bumble bee getting too close to a sensor. Lets hope so!
