All, Hope you're doing well during these times and the house is looking lovely and painted ;)

Jumped in the car yesterday to go get some shopping. Popped the driver window down a little bit ... then clicked the switch for it go back up ... and it came back down half-way. Everytime. -_-

When I got home and parked up, I had a bit of a battle with it. Suggestions were saying to hold the switch down and then hold it up to reset. Every time mine went up, it automatically went down into the middle. After some persevering, I managed to get the window closed (bit by bit). The one click up and down stopped working as well on that window (drivers window)

I also noticed that when the engine was running ... the window would go up and down A LOT faster. Hmmm. The auto start/stop isn't working on the car (think the battery is on way out) and I think this might be a sign for a new battery (as mercs get weird when this happens). Merc dealer quoted 386 GBP for a new battery ... Can you install these yourself?

Sounds like the anti-jam function is working on the window. It’s sensing increased load putting it up so winds it back down again thinking it’s trapping something.

Get a micro fibre cloth with some soap and water and wedge it into the window seal gap to give it all a clean. My E class does it every year or so on the rear right window
