Today, having gotten my E400d back from the dealer for loss of oil and battery warnings (solved, supposedly by topping up the oil and charging the battery... let see how long that lasts) i've noticed that some of the matte 'wood' trim has flaked off the dash segment. I've gone round the car carefully and noticed that it also has started to in other places. The car is in warranty so i will naturally complain to MB, but i'm wondering if there is a coating anyone can recommend to stop it happening again? To 'seal' it in? I'm thinking a ceramic coating or a thinned polyurethane varnish ? What would be better?
