Hey Everyone,
My M275 finally got back to life after sitting for a while in the garage. Ignition system has been all replaced with V12icpack stuff and engine is running perfect again. Car has been also fully resprayed in the same color. I just love this car so it is staying with us. I have also replaced diverter valves as precuation is well. I have to replace engine mounts is well. My question is how to do it if I will find out that I still have the old type of mount brackets. WIS is saying to take the engine. I have seen some videos on YouTube that you can actually change them by dropping the subframe. Is there any tips that you guys can give me to make the change as easy as possible. I know it is a huge task but I need to do it.

Sorry. Not sure on the V12. I believe on the V8 cars one can do it with the subframe trick as you say, but iirc the V12 is substantially bigger (I think 70kg heavier) so not sure in this case.

V8 are not that bad :D I have seen people were dropping subframe with the old type of the brackets in V12's. I am still thinking to remove everything from the car - ABC is going away anyway :D

Why remove the ABC? The running and repair costs have dropped hugely now due to the work this forum has done.

It is a good suspension - the issue we have is there is way too much thingns to replace. Two shocks for sure - one due to failed plunger sensor. All the hoses needs to be replaced. I will not rebuild the hoses done this on two and hydraulic shops in Ireland are just terrible. Brand new set of hoses is like 1300EUR. Two shocks even going for arnotts is like 2k nearly :) new pump is well etc. As of now there is way too mich to put into the suspension. I have just decided that I will keep these items and if I will still have this car in the next 10/15 years I will put back the system again ;) as of now it is going away.

The struts are £300 each via Alibaba now. New pump is £560. Hoses unsure, but I had the main rear combi hose replaced for £280 inc labour.

One of the great things about this forum is that we can help each other..!
