W215 Suspension Strut Query

I have to replace the front offside suspension strut to my 2000 CL500 (w215). The part number is 2203204913. I can find many struts from breakers that will fit the 2002 model but this has a slightly different part number and not even the local Mercedes Benz dealer can tell me if this is compatible with the 2000 model.

Does anyone out there know.

That part number is for a 215 up to 30-11-01 front right
