I've seen the k&n style replacment pannels and heard the rumers of them "naffing" up the MAFs...so, has anyone fitted two CONE filters?

Just that I like the quiet crousing, but having a V8 that you can not hear at all when you "boot it"? (Yes I know thats the hole point of the S Class)

So induction seems right, V8 growl on acceleration but still as quiet as a mouse at steady speeds.

IF ANYONE HAS DONE THIS OR INDEED IF THERE IS A WALK THROUGH ANYWHERE ON JUST CHANGING THE FILTERS SO I CAN SEE WHATS INVOLVED THAT WOULD BE GREAT!

:D you could just cut holes in the exhaust after the second o2 sensors. problem with k+n filters is that they do not filter down to small enough particle sizes and trash the mafs. have you thought about a bmw?

Take out all of the sound deadening panels, and fit a microphone in the exhaust and play it through the Bose :D

Was an E300TD, now a Lexus LS400
Put a sleeved silencer on it. You'll hear the engine then.
