W221 RH fuel sender replacement

Finally got round to getting a replacement fuel sender and fitting it. Part was £107 from Mercedes and took less than 60 minutes to fit so I’m glad I didn’t pay the £400 my local independent quoted. New part is reading 8 to 500 ohms and old part 8 to 0 so hopefully it’s fixed - I won’t be sure until I fill up and drive a few hundred miles.
