Hi, Took my driver and passenger seats out to clean and repair. Now reinstalled I have a SRS fault code. I’m fairly sure this has been generated while the seats were out. Now everything (seats etc) is back in place the code is still there.

I’ve read something somewhere that even is everything is back in and working the SRS code will stay until cleared with a scanner.

Can anyone comment on this?

Also read a icarsoft i980 might be able to help with SRS scan and reset.

Correct on all counts. ;)
I removed my seat for repair & had the same fault as you, however I already had an iCarsoft that successfully reset the warning.

Just for info....

I tried an icarsoft i980 and it worked a treat.

Read the codes.

Cleared the codes.

All errors where do to with short circuits and high resistance detected to the seat belts and seat airbags while the connections where unplugged.

Regards, James
