I need to remove the panel surrounding my passenger-side fog lamp to access the ambient air temperature sensor and its connector. (Had a new aircon condenser fitted on Thursday and I suspect the sensor wasn't plugged back in correctly afterwards.)

I've seen a couple of sources which suggest it can be released by levering around the edge with a small screwdriver.... So far this hasn't worked for me though :(

Any thoughts/tips? Thanks.

For the record, I found an alternative method of access to the sensor on another forum - through the left-hand front wheelwell.

With the wheels on full right lock, remove the four clips that secure the front inner lining - two inside the well, two underneath the bumper - then pull the lining aside. There is enough space to shove an arm through and reach the sensor and its connector.
