Sorry if this has been asked already but I was wondering about getting the B Class TerraCleaned - it has about 46k miles on it and one of the lads at work recommended TerraClean (we were talking mpg) as a way of cleaning the engine and maybe even improving the MPG a little in the process.

What he did say though was to ask if it had been done before as he had heard horror stories of mondeo's having it done then later down the line the injectors have eatten themselves - really dont need that or the cost

can anyone please advise

TIA

I wouldn't. I've heard of peeps using engine cleaner and dislodged some carbon which blocked an oil feed.

Modern oils have very low soot and carbon is not as prevelant as most believe.

Just give the car an Italian service every now and then and do some long journeys and you'll be fine

I would say that unless you have some known problems you would be better using a fuel cleaner like , Millers , Forte , Archoil and then doing a nice long motorway run for a couple of hours .
I don't know what terraclean costs but I bet it isn't cheap . Probably get a weekend away and a fuel cleaner for the same price .

Would not use that full stop. Your mileage is so low.
Run a tank of BP ultimate, shell v power or add a shot of redex.

This.

Many of these products are more about marketing than any real results.

You can have them Carbon Cleaned now, very effective, a guy in the building next to us had his RS6 plus done, said a massive difference

I had it done on the 211 and I did see some improvement on MPG and a bit less smoke on acceleration but my car had 120k on the clock and was used pretty much for long distances and an Italian tuneup was a weekly event,

was it worth it, probably, would I do it again, probably not

I had you down for some Jive Bunny or Whigfield :)

Whigfield too right. Danish yanno, bet she goes like the clappers. And that lass off Ace of Base. And the dark haired lass off the Vengaboys come to think of it.

Erm. I'd imagine.
