Probably a bit far but you could try PKF Engineering at Salisbury. MB trained, MB diagnostics and excellent service.

Hi Malcolm,

Thanks for the info and on which I contacted them and this is what they quoted:
Air-con recharge, etc...£89.94 + VAT
MOT.........................£54.69
Front Pads fitted........£126.34 fully inclusive of VAT
Pollen Filter...............£26.56 + VAT

I contacted franchised dealer and they charge labour costs alone at £83 + VAT per hour.

Do you know of anywhere I can get parts from at a reduced cost but not compromised on quality?

Thanks for your valued input!!!

Ilya

That air con is too dear, believe it or not its cheaper at quick fit at around £45 - £50

You can go to your local motor factor and buy at trade prices, and you can ask them what make they are, if you want to know anything about other makes then do ask. Most use OE tmd friction brake parts.

There are cheaper fo MOTs they are charging the top whack

Parts don't seem to be the problem - the labour rate does

By using inferior parts you might be able to save £15 on the brake pads. The pollen filter I would expect is only available from MB

I think you're trying to save money in the wrong place
