WANTED: Merc W123 300TD manual gearbox

Hi folks I was pointed here from another forum - I'm in need of a gearbox for my 1982 Mercedes Benz W123 300TD estate (non turbo diesel)

The 4-speed box has broken so a replacement is necessary. I've done a Parts Gateway search and fired off a few ebay messages to the various breakers on there. Current quotes for second-hand boxes arer rare and on the very expensive side, considering the car was cheap to buy over a year ago and has served me well until now.

Anybody on here got one or know where I can find one please?

It might work out cheaper to buy a whole car and swap the gearboxes over and then sell the whole car on with a duff gearbox. Buy an MOT fail that has a decent gearbox and you shouldn't lose too much.
