Hi, I had an issue recently with hot air blowing out of all the vents even though the temperature was on its lowest setting, I did a little investigation online and found that the culprit was likely to be the blend door actuator, I honestly didn't fancy taking it apart but with this hot weather I couldn't take the heat anymore and decided to devote a day to taking the entire dashboard apart.
I disconnected the battery prior to starting, removed the binnacle, radio, central console, glovebox, pillar trims, some electrical connections and various screws, it was relatively straightforward to pull apart and remove the top of the dashboard, giving me access to the blend door actuator, I replaced this, replaced the various parts and connections, then reconnected the battery to test the actuator but I now have 3 alarms showing that weren't there before, BAS/ESP, AIRBAG OFF and SRS, the only electrical connections I removed and replaced were to the back of the binnacle and the radio.
I am reluctant to drive the car as it is, so does anyone have any suggestions on what I am likely to have done wrong and how I am likely to fix it

After a battery disconnect you need to drive a short distance and move the steering lock to lock. That should clear the BAS/ESP and SRS lights

hi, i tried the lock to lock whilst still parked up, thanks again because this cleared one fault, so that was a good start but it left the airbag and srs faults still showing, I then went for about a twenty minute drive, making sure that I had plenty of places to turn but the two faults are still showing, should I have gone for a longer drive?.
I haven't checked the fuses as It has been pouring with rain most of the day and to be honest everything else seems to be working normally, is it likely to be something as simple as a blown fuse or not, do you have any other suggestions as to what could be the cause

Unlikely to be a fuse, check the battery voltage.

Hi, whilst not ruling out the battery, I only had it replaced about 7 or 8 months ago, also I had it checked by an AA guy a few weeks ago and he said he thought it was reading slightly high, I cannot remember the exact figure but it was over 13 volts but I have seen somewhere on Youtube that I should be looking for a 13.6 volts.
Prior to doing the lock to lock and drive earlier today I also took the dashboard apart again and rebuilt it, just to make sure I hadn't missed some connection somewhere, I don't think I missed anything so I will go back to the place I bought the battery from and get them to check, strange thing is it fires up on the first turn of the key every time
