Warning Triangle

The warning triangle on my 1998 c280 fell out of it's position in the boot lid and the triangle has broken off the heavy base. Gluing it back has not worked. I've looked at ebay and there are some possibilities but but nothing that looks identical. I've also completed a request on a mercedes spares website but I suspect these are more for finding high value engine, suspension, body parts. Has anyone any ideas how I might either fix the original or find a replacement. I know there are after market solutions from places like Halfords but I would rather have an original if I can.

my spare is off a facelift which is the red one with the outline, rather than the one with the hazard symbol in the middle.

There is a glue called "GORILLA GLUE" It will stick sh## to a cinder , just clean of the excess after it has cured (expands as it cures) costs £6.50

One end of my traingle broke in the same way - I now wedge a fold piece of paper under the catch.

I fixed mine by using some resin putty, the type that comes as two colours like plasticine and you have to mix them together. Not pretty, but it works.
