Waste of time

Me again. Just come back from Kew to see the LPG converted E240 (w reg) had a drive and it felt lovely that V6 is soo smooth and quite. But.......................had a good look around the body work again and yes youve guessed it the drivers side wheel arch was really rusty bubbbling up all over the place. I said that maybe if he came down £500 I would consider buying it. BAsically he was a bit of an arsehole in the end, said that what did I expect they all go rusty and it would only cost £50 to put it right, and that I was getting the car cheap enough. The car stereo was falling out and he didnt have the service book to hand , said that his mate had it. I waved him goodbye, what a waste of time. Anyway looking at one in SHeffield on Sunday its an E280 dont think its a V6 though, what are the E280's like?

E280 what year? They did build a V6 but not very common.

E280 I remember around the late eighties and early nineties was a straight six. I had one. Magic. Autocar described it as 'the best engine of any size, of any make , in any car, anywhere in the world'. Good enough?
