Water Leak!

Opened the boot of my C220 CDI yesterday, and found a small amount of water lying in the rear o/s well. Seems to be dripping from the carpet trim directly above the well. Pulled back the trim but cant seem to identify where it's coming from.
Any suggestions?
The black rubber boot seal looks OK, but I'm wondering if I should just replace it.
Not gonna let on to Fiona about this...otherwise I'll never hear the end of it! Still got the Merc v Audi thing goin on!

You could always lock her in the boot with a torch and then turn on a hose. Once she identifies the source you can let her out.

The boot seal is unlikley to be the problem though.

Would your car be a 202 or 203 if you gave the next 3 numbers after those it would help.

Found one for leak into nearside passenger floor, found another for tail lamps blowing, another one for water in headlamp, but nothing for water in boot.

Malcolm,
Anything for a W202?
We get occasional puddles under the the N/S tail lamp. Bodyshop has resealed the light and checked it over but it still happens from time to time though we can't identify a pattern.
I've yet to lie in the boot whilst the old man goes mad with a pressure washer - save that for a nicer day!

Thanks anyway Malcolm. Think I'll have to resort to the same measures as jberks...but like him, I'll wait for better weather!

Why not share the experience with a nice friend, then who cares about the weather.

jberks,
I had the same problem last year with my W202, turned out it was coming from the radio antenna, the drain pipe had been disconnected by someone and water was collecting in the area below the nearside rear tail lamp.
