water lose and lacking in power feels like back fire

i have a 230e auto (123) 1985 in good cond and it is very relyable but have now got some problems with the timeing and a slight water lose do they use much water .i only got the car in april 2002 and it is a dream to drive and is a good looking car very clean would be very upset if i cant get it fixed can any one help me thanks . merc wullie

No they don't lose water most common cause is water pump as for lack of power could be anything, why do you suspect timing?? what engine man system have you if HFM the air mass metre very likley
