Hello everybody,
I bought Mercedes ML 270 CDI second hand.Once I washed the car I noticed that the floor of the left front passenger seat is soaking wet.And it keeps being wet at all time.I suppose I bought the car with this problem, but have not been informed from the previous owner about this.I have doubts that the car somehow has been in a flood, because i found some signs of dampness in the cabin. The car does not have a sunroof.I checked the cooling system, but the level of the cooling oil is ok.Any suggestions?
I would kindly appreciate any help.
Thank you all!!!!

and check that the inner door plastic seal is intact and not torn..behind the door card. mechanics have a habit of tearing these off to get at the door internals and not resealing them

Is it only after it rains, or is the moisture coming from another source?

On my previous car I narrowed down the source of this to the absense of a gaiter around the wing mirror (someone obviously didn't put it back after taking the mirror off), this was letting rain into the door and then out of the speaker cover!

If it is being caused by rain that looks like it's coming through from the door, your best bet is to take the door card off, and have someone pour a bucket of water over the outside of the door while you feel for it coming through. Obviously the door seal is another area to look, if yours have small drain holes on them, 'squidge' (technical term) around the seal and see if any bubbling is visible from the hole.
