My 190E used to collect gallons of water on the underside of the boot lid, which would then also collect at the lowest
edge and cascade into the boot when I opened it.
The 190E - which was great - has now gone. But guess what. My much loved W126 300SE has just started doing exactly the same thing. The seals seem OK. Does the boot
latch need adjusting. If so... how do you do it.
Hope somebody can help.
Thanks mike

Are you sure that this is not just condensation, as there is no insulation on the boot lid, water can form on a cold night.
