Please excuse me from saying so but used engine oil will make it rust faster. There was a big article in the trade press last year that gave all of the reasons why one should not use old engine oil.

Well the rust aint come back so it must be doing something.

I an not knocking you as I would never do that I did not know about the other side of things till I read that article, I must try and find it
