Morning all,got a weird one here, got a w210 1998 e280,got the following items that keeps popping up on the dashboard, washer bottle low level, low coolant level, headlights,it resets using rest button but I have changed both sensors on the washer bottle and coolant, the headlights are fine ,checked indicator, brake, lights, sidelights all good so I expect this is due to me upgrading to led lights and car doesn't like them so my issue is with the sensors on coolant and washer bottle,no fault codes show up on my reader

What led lights did you upgrade - the cluster bulbs or the main bulbs? If the main bulbs does the fault go away if you put the correct bulbs back?

Ok there you go - the bulbs are upsetting the canbus because it is load sensing and the LED bulbs give the wrong readings so an error is reported

. You do realise that changing headlight bulbs to LED in lights that are not designed for LED are considered a modification for insurance purposes and you need to tell your insurance company otherwise it can invalidate your insurance. They are also a possible MOT failure. If you want brighter lights then try Osram Nightbreakers - a favourite on the forum. Ultimately your choice.

MOT Guidance -

4.1.4. Compliance with requirements

Existing halogen headlamp units on vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1986 must not be converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp for light source and lamp not compatible.

Useful info here about everything to do with LED
