I'm not the biggest fan of the 6.2 V8's nature on the road personally but, respect the engine's design from an engineering perspective and character its created in some cars.

I appreciate things move on but, I'll never be convinced by small capacity engines with ultra high outputs from a durability perspective.

It will be a combination of petrol engine and battery. No doubt with a trick gearbox, mechanical traction etc it will be a YouTube muppets delight. I'll see how many of these are running like new 2 decades on with 200,000 miles on the clock...……. I know that won't happen because the makers need to force people to finance a new one every few years when the repairs become more trouble than they are worth.

But, it certainly will not be a true gem like;

180,000+ miles

Horrible to think the C63 is going this way but I hope they still keep a large engine in the E Class.

Some think big petrol engine cars will plummet price wise but I think these cars will appreciate in price in the future when NLA, especially well looked after ones. I do fear however the taxation on these cars will rise in the future and will deter (some) people from buying them
