I found this forum because I wanted to ask a question but have come back several times for the pleasure of reading the threads and replies. I am impressed how relaxed and helpful you are to each other.

Not being much of a car enthusiast I guess I had an image of you all as having state of the art machines either wearing puffy maroon car coats or else tweed caps with those weird driving gloves - but could not be more wrong. So much for lazy pre-conceptions!

I agree. I discovered the forum a few months ago when my girlfriend bought a 10 year old E220 and it broke down. Got great advice then about the possible causes and the car is running fine these days. I still check in here every few days just to see what's going on and read the interesting threads. Also there's a complete abscence of the flaming and trolling that often plague other forums.
