What Auto Transmission Fluid for E320?

Hi.
I need to top up auto box on a E320 CDI 2002 after a small repair. I have noticed that it is green ATF oil, which I have been told this is a longlife oil. Mercedes dealer seem to have no knowledge of it and trying to sell me Dexron 2. I have been told that Dexron 6 is the same specification as a longlife Merc oil.
Has anyone come across this, if so can you advise. Thanks.
