Hi my first post is a question;)
I have just got my first merc its a 56 plate c180:) (really enjoying it)
what I would like to know is.... how easy is it to fit a cd changer?
I would prefer a factory one (what is the part number?) and where is
the best place to put it? Boot or Glovebox

Thanks in advance Billy:D

The CD changer goes in the glovebox and is easily fitted although if your head unit does not have any fibre atached already you will need the unit coded with STAR.

You could also install Mercedes ipod interface for a lot less than a CD changer.

How would I find out if I had fibre atached:?:

You might need to remove your radio or comand and look deep down to the right hand side if you see two small orang fibre optic wires with a black plug at he end.
With it it should be also a small black connector for power.
But to my experiencemost of the time it is missing.
If it is of any interest to you, I just removed a very good CDC from my w203 2006 (upgraded to NTG2.5) .If you are interested make me a good offer (CDC only)and it is yours
PM please
