If I lift the lever and say "CD5 track 2 " it will play that CD and track.
it is as simple as that. I can use it for an address in the NAVIGATION, it will phone anyone of you choice, it will tune the radio to the station that you want also the TV, if you use the right words its perfect, if I said "telephone David" she might turn the TV on so you have to use the right words.

its OK more use full for the Nav and Phone.

Many thanks for that imfo television, sounds very much along the same lines as a Becker nav system I had fitted in my old 240, which whilst very good, you had to be quite accurate with your wording. The activation for the lingutronic, I am told, is fitted to the cruise control lever, is that correct.
Braybrooks say they can retro fit, completley as factory fit, for £720, I thought that was reasonable. Is it worth it?

Its normally on a seperate stalk switch, is it worth it,thats a hard one to answer,, most things you can do on the unit concerned like changing radio stions and CD,by just pressing a button, if you are using the phone a lot on the move, then its very good, but even with the Sat Nav one normally sets it up before you start the journey. Would I pay for it = no

Its interesting isn't it. How many extras are really worth the money. I have the factory phone kit in my 211. A good £550 worth with the cradle I believe. My Dad has a Nokia kit in his 211 that cost around £150. When we each change our phones, I have to find £131, he has to find £15.
So presumably mine is far easier to use? - not really. Neater? Fractionally if at all.
Worth the extra £400 - probably not.
Memory seats are great but I lived very happily without them for the last 20 years and if I'm honest, I probably use them once a month. Command (I don't have) looks fantastic admittedly, but £2000 better than an Audio20 and a Tomtom?...nah.
