What gearbox

I am very interested in knowing about gearbox oil change, and I have read the thread http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/sh...ad.php?t=25558

How do I find out what gearbox my car has? ie 722.6 etc.

Its the W203 C180K on an 03 plate.

You have the 722.6 box that needs 7+ liters when you drain it including the torque converter

Was the torque converter still fitted with a drain plug by that year Malc?

Just for the record, drain plugs were phased out during 98-99 and none fitted after 09-99.

Just to pick your brains a bit further Malcolm, what gearbox is in my 97 SLK230 ??

Auto will be a 722.605 and manual 717.460
