Knowing my luck, I'll purchase the wrong cable :(

That’s a ballpoint pen. One CAN use it to transfer numbers between phone books... :D

Seriously it looks to be a form of Visseeooooo. It’s likely not picking up a network because the antenna amplifier is doing nothing due to no Nokia 6210 being present...

You only need the little adaptor that came with your iPhone...

:D:D I got a soft point for that :p

Her car doesn't seem to have a phone, just that device in the centre console, the phone seems to operate from the head unit sat nav display?

My Huawei came with an adapter cable. So did Mrs LKs HTC.

Thanks LK, I'll check through the boxes again, actually I had a Huawei, it's around somewhere. We have Alcatel's now.

No only the head phones in the box

The Bluetooth module is a SAP (Sim Access Profile) unit and should use the car's built in phone aerial and as I understand it, it uses its own sim (looks like that needs inserting). Then it connects to your phone to access the phone book and pretends to be your phone for incoming and outgoing calls. All this is assuming your phone is SAP compatible.

Figured out where my massive oil leak came from on the CL.

Gearbox is past the MAX mark and the oil is a very questionable colour (Ie, the wrong oil)

It also smells odd. Not like the CVT oil I have though. Box changes fine though so will plan to change it soon.

Hopefully not coolent! That's the only thing I can think could contaminate the gearbox fluid. Best get it out quick if it is

It wasn't milky or anything like that. I feel like somebody just filled it with ATFIII and overfilled it.

Well to divert from the unfortunate news of another severe accident on the roads. Today's bit of Mercedes indulgence.

About a week or so ago the neighbours gardener decided to drag a felled hawthorn bush past my car. I'll let you draw your own conclusions as to the comments made by myself and my considered reply to his comment that "A bit of T'Cut will sort it out"

So after a couple of hours earnest washing (two bucket method as usual) and some carefully administered machine polishing. I managed to get a bit of showroom gleam back into the scratched panels.

All in all, not too displeased. Let's be honest silver cars might win on appearing to look cleaner for longer, but they don't reward a couple of hours earnest polishing in quite the same way as a darker coloured car.

Thank you to Meguiars for their usual high quality products....... Just don't look at that rear wheel too closely.

Needless to say Alexa, you’ll want to get that drained out directly. That looks like clean engine oil!!!
