Just pumped up all 8 summer tyres to 33psi , ready for refitting to the cars . I'm going to put the older 2 summers on the rear (2008/2009) , trouble is the newer fronts are only 2010  . Still no sign of cracking though .
Suggested to Mrs Wighty we might have to go the Nurbergring to use them up :D

And, booked in for some rear end work at Mercland, this will be my first time there so very much looking forward to seeing how they go!
They have some very nice well prepped cars for sale on the site . Be interested to hear how you get on .

If you get to see Jay while you're there Craig, ask him if you can have a look at some of his "special" cars. :)

I don't have a particular favourite of his, basically he has so many, but the wide bodied SEC is pretty tasty, as is the Grosser. Some of the number plates are impressive as well. ;)

Been cleaning the white one again today, mainly getting the winter grime off it.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to put a stainless steel slam panel in the most vulnerable area for the rain and spray wants to try cleaning one off for an hour or two.

One side getting there slowly, one more to go...

Fitted the Summer's to my E class , made easier with my Makita rattle gun (for which I now need a short extension bar for the deeper summer wheels ) .
Sprayed acf50 over exposed brake lines , self levelling headlight front arm and some suspension parts , whilst I was in the wheel arches .
Measured the winter tyres , the 2011 rears are down to 4.5mm and have some slight sidewall cracking but should be good for another winter . The 2013 fronts are at 7mm with no cracking .

I’ve discovered that 67mph on cruise is the sweet spot. Just a hair under 2000rpm and returns around 30mpg.
That’s how I could average 83mpg for a trip in the W213 E220d

I used 80mph but with long M4 roadworks that may have balanced it.
