Went shopping in the 55, well had to do something, its just been sitting there for the last 3 days

Nothing but a lovely sunny drive, about 120Kms round trip on great French D roads and enjoyed the car performing well (ahhh!!! what have I said) hope it lasts.

Carefull! you don't want to temp fate.

If I compliment the car it's only a matter of time before something goes wrong.

As someone said always leave something to be fixed or a problem will occur, I've left a few just to be sure!

Going to go mad on the clk for a bit of fun now I am bored ,pulled off cdi 320 badges and going to A M G it , fit full chrome grill , chrome side vents ,fit boot lip spoiler and have fitted red detailing in the inside of door trims , and even thinking of trying to fit a stand up star on bonnet

I finally got the chance to change my weepy ABC pipe on my SL. It couldn't have been any more straight forward. It lost virtually no oil at all. From reading on the net I expected it to be under some pressure then run out as soon as I disconnected but it basically just lost a pipe full. The suspension was down when I put the weight back on but as soon as the engine started all is back to normal. I've cycled it up and down a few times a drove through an estate with speed bumps for good measure but it was fine anyway. Happy days.
I found the leak because there was oil around a hole on the undertray so just chased it back. Could have been worse

Just got mine back after an extended stay at MBS Southampton

I think it probably prefers being there as they treat it nicely (I just drive it)

It was there longer than planned due to failing the MOT for a brake imbalance - after some great fault finding and caliper stripping / refit, the front discs and pads were found to be at fault. After new discs and pads (genuine MB) no more imbalance and a fresh MOT

Many, many, many, software updates done (thanks @Cole@MBS) to the car and Comand system and whilst I can no longer say that "software is free" I can say that MBS servicing is excellent and very good value - (even though being a Mod adds at least 20% to the costs)

My Comand lady now stays quiet (worth the cost just for that) and my iPod doesn't keep interrupting the DAB.

Car feels smoother (it was a B Service with plugs, brake fluid and the expensive filters), it is also a lot quieter on braking

and yes I drove 612 miles for a service at MBS
