Ordered a new engine mount for passenger side on the 129. Hopefully it'll be easier to change than the drivers side one!

went to uk , whilst there lovelies A class developed the F warning, but it went away soon after ? only 100 miles after doing timing chain ! i spent the evening pondering on any connection... so she used CLK, much complaining!!!!! i get back yest and hook up star.. gear shift mod p1856 inplausable signal part A61 ! great ,but at least unrelated , ran it around for 15k no F so hooked up again cleared fault ran around again , no return of F so thats it FOR NOW . i have a spare shifter module from a car i broke up last yr,but you could not make it up,could you ? i think dust in module.or as i disconected trans ecu and batt to weld up rear jacking point maybe i upset the damn system . i did it batt disconnect ecu disconnect then after, ecu connect then batt connect as per book so cant see why. but who knows ???? think my cars just think i bored and have nothing better to do...

I’m still leaning towards a Workshop of SLs. Or maybe a Hole (in the wallet?)

IMG_20190713_142217.jpg What have I done today to my Merc and mostly succeeded except last bit to render it all pointless...
Not being the quitter, despite decades of evidence to the contrary, armed with newly delivered 24 and and 27 mm spanners,I managed to change the dryer and condenser... IMG_20190713_113916.jpg IMG_20190713_113919.jpg IMG_20190713_121956.jpg IMG_20190713_113916.jpg
Cunningly ( like Baldrick ) I removed the washer bottles instead of bumper and headlight to get enough room to access the dryer, disconnected the electric sensor and swapped it over, connected the pipes, lubricated the threads and washers with PAG oil etc... IMG_20190713_142209.jpg
Then I managed to swap the condenser, and having removed bottom under skirts/covers went ahead to connect the pipes to the condenser. The bigger diameter one went with 27/24 mm spanners was relatively easy, but I struggled wit the smaller one with two 19mm spanners, just could not insert male bit under the right angle ( familiar feeling...)When it eventually started to thread in I think it cross threaded because the angle of the nut seemed wrong, and also I think it rotated too many times without traveling up the thread...Ugh..
Now I am not sure if that will be enough to keep pressure ..I am pondering whether to cover whole joint section in JB Weld epoxy, since unscrewing the connection will probably result in not being able to connect it again...
Also ,since I changed condenser and dryer I think I have to add around 30 g of PAG oil.Can that be done at ATS where it will be recharged,or do I add it myself and where I pour it in?
    Any suggestions welcome...

Then a sealant wax - 2 and a half hours later it’s not too shabby.

Tested all the central locking vacuum lines on the 129 using my shiny new test tool. No leaks. Even using the tool the doors won't unlock.
Having a read through the system operations it appears there are a pair of door vacuum solenoids (possibly under the seats) that are operated once the pump reaches pressure. I know the pump is reaching pressure but it appears it's not telling the solenoids. I think it may be new pump time....:(

Oh this ones definitely female. It sulks, throws hissy fits, gets jealous and occasionally give you the silent treatment.
