Fuel prices are a proper p*** take again but no one seems to give a toss unlike a few years back

On my way back from Silverstone, I stopped at Gordano and Diesel was 154.9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the people who use motorway fuel stations must have a fuel card or are very poor in planning.

I regularly do 400+ mile journeys in a car with a 60ltr tank and ~30mpg and haven't needed to splash and dash. I normally fill up before I set off as I don't like to stop once I'm moving or if it's a long long journey I do a bit of planning and find the cheap fuel close to the motorways.

Managed to remove stripped oil plug with Irwin bolt grip as bembo449 kindly suggested,it was surprisngly easy,so I changed the oil and oil filter. On the other hand my air con died, exactly 24 hours after re gas,and quick check confirmed what I suspected-it was on the cross threaded connection from high side pipe on the condenser where it obviously leaked out leaving greenish residue...

Is that the place that looks like it should be part of Mega City One in Judge Dredd?

The 500 flashed up 'service in 28 days' more expense
£107 for all filters and Mobil oil which I think is quite reasonable :)

FFS JB! Where did this happen?

Nearly got mine modified this afternoon - sat in traffic and two lads walked by, one off the curb and festooned with metalwork swinging off a carabiner..... Drives me up the wall.

I don't know what Mega City One in Judge Dredd is Craig so I don't know. I am from the Dixon of Dock Green era. According to my wife it's the car park we can easily get to and is handy for the shops if that helps.:(

There’s a shopping centre in Norwich that was used in the filming of the Alan Partridge film. It looks like it should be in some form of nuclear post apocalyptic wasteland :)

Oh no, this one is a multi-story car park attached to Chapel Fields shopping mall :)

VW Scirocco. The Quattro, E350 CDi Blue Efficiency Sport Coupe, now both gone
Washed the car and alloys, dried and cleaned the windows after my midweek break away with Swmbo.

A trip to Hovingham in Yorkshire to a nice family hotel, with a couple of day trips to Helmsley and York thrown in for good measure.

We had a great time and were really lucky with the weather too.

621 mile round trip with an average fuel consumption of 39.9 mpg. Not bad at all I thought. Particularly as I didn't think I was taking it that easy tbh.

I was impressed by York, it was the first time we'd been and there was just so much to see and do. I definitely think we'll go back, I reckon we maybe covered about a third of what we could have done if we had been there for a full week. Some lovely restaurants, shops and sights to see. Yep, we'll defo be back.

The village of Hovingham was delightful, quiet, peaceful and very pretty.

Kilburn is also a nice place to visit if you have too much money and not enough good furniture. :D
