VW Scirocco. The Quattro, E350 CDi Blue Efficiency Sport Coupe, now both gone
We've applied the same logic to Indigo Furniture items we've bought used off t'interweb. If you're not familiar with it it's super solid pine furniture made in Matlock in the Peak District.
Our French place is full of the stuff and it's started to appear in the UK house too...
Best thing about it is if it gets a knock or dent or scratch it's just patina and often a rub with wax makes it disappear.

I had a look, some nice stuff they do. I love wood but, Swmbo is less enthusiastic. I need to make my suggestions very carefully, lol. :p

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Got back from the very hot and sunny Dordogne yesterday . Excellent trip , racking up 2000 miles with 55 hours total driving (just under 35mpg ) .
Did an overnight in/near Chartres on the way down and the return as well .
Did a stop off at Oradur sur Glane (site of German WWII massacre of 642 French civilians ), persevered in an as was state as a memorial . Had been meaning to stop off for the last 3 years but hadn't previously had time .
Couple of other pics from the Dordogne area , from just east of St Circ Lapopie on a hot day .
Bit of work to do on the car I'll seperate thread at some point . Bit of a judder from the front on braking , probably related to the signs of heat from the inside of both front brake pads . I think I'm going to get refurbed calipers front and back (back was sticking last month on one side )
Also a knock that is noticeable on rough ground which I think may be ball joints ? Plan will be to change the ball joints and 4x calipers then test drive to see if anything has changed .
I've ordered some Brembo pads and discs for the front just in case from ECP for £90 but I didn't want to change the discs and pads unless I had to because they are 3 years old with just over 20k on them , but realistically the judder under braking is going to be discs/pad uneven wear even if a small amount could be caused by the ball joints ??

Finally (after 4 years!) replaced the latch for the sliding armrest on the 129.
Remarkably straightforward job.
Ordered new gas strut too now that I have the number and for good measure a leather upper cover (old vinyl one has a hole in it).

Prepared car for 130 mile drive to Leamington Spa tomorrow, roof up or down will have to see how hot it really gets!

Service reminder just come on, 28 days do any MB dealers still offer free courtesy car?

Took the E350 in for a recall on steering column earthing that could cause the air bag to deploy, which I thought could be slightly irritating if that were to happen!

They washed and vacuumed it out and after two cups of coffee and biscuits I was on my way. I also got one of those me adapters that kill your phone battery.......
