The plan was that as we were going away to-morrow I was going to just knock the dust of the car because I do like to start off with a clean car. But when I got started I couldn't stop myself and gave it a thorough clean inside and out. :)

I think that is something I got from my Father. Every time he used his car he would wash and leather it off before he put it in the garage whether it was a mucky day or a dry day. Some of this obviously rubbed of on me, I just can't stop myself. I cannot stand a dirty car

447 miles for me today, from Provence to our overnight stop in Reims - took about 8.5 hours but that included stops.

I had something similar happen - expected to get home to damaged rims but the Pirelli rim guards did the trick and no damage.

Brought it home after our three week's Provence trip. The rain coming round the M25 mixed with the French dust means it’s a right mess now but at least the rain cleared some of the bugs off the front and the screen.

I thought the average mpg might possibly start with a 3 but obviously far too much at 80mph(ish) on the Autoroutes and the steep country roads for that. Still, I didn’t buy the car for its fuel economy :)

image.jpeg Got back yesterday from nearly 3 weeks down in the south of France . Might post a few pics seperatly if I have any decent ones .
Washed the car and clayed it . Sprayed a can of Dintrol into the rear subframe holes with a long tube (because of all the C class subframe horror stories ! This is the second can in the last couple of years )

Over in Birmingham today so visited @Acid@MSL, car booked in to spend a couple of weeks there while I’m in the Philippines and Australia, remap and dyno session and general play to get the best power delivered, then it’s going over the other side of MSL to be fully detailed, alloy refurb, callipers repainted and ceramic coat to finish it all off.
I think two weeks will be long enough to get it all done :)

Yep, it will be the first time by all accounts the car will be properly detailed by a professional, I’ve just not had time to do it with the little one around,
Now not decided on calliper colour yet, I’m thinking doing a satin black all over, thoughts?
