Washed the car ready for a trip to MSL tomorrow morning.
Now beating down with rain. I fancy it will be filthy by the time I arrive in Birmingham:(
Well it is “the Black Country”...

Another good reason for me to leave the scoop at home. :D

See you in a couple of hours or so Roger, let's see if they can get some more power out of Larry the Lexus. ;)

After hearing some discussions the other week on here about leaf debris sitting at the base of the radiators and rotting them I thought I’d take a look .
I had cleaned and hoovered out what I could from the top yesterday on the CLK . I put the car on ramps with the intention of looking for the cps as well (but if forgot to look in the end !) .
Taking off the main engine base cover there was another flap covering the rad base right at the front (this is hanging down in the pic ), this did have leaf muck in it at either end where yesterdays topside work couldn’t reach .
I hosed everything out and then coated everything with ACF50 .
Might have to now check if the E class is the same design underneath .

Drove up to Birmingham to pick up some wheels and tyres. 87 miles each way, 60mph average speed @ 41.2mpg ... happy days all round :)

After a 250 mile round trip to Nottingham yesterday, my car was shall we say a tad dirty, so today I cleaned it using totally only Williams waterless wash and wax, it took me 1 hour and it looks bl00dy great!

No fannying about with water
hoses, and potential frostbite (ok slightly dramatic but you get the gist) :)
