Are you still on Kiwi seasons or has global warming turned January into Spring?

The car I mentioned is clearly an outlier.
Don't flatter yourself. I was responding to flowrider's post about seasonal variations not your post about the car you found.
I know it's not spring yet but this is the time of year some people start to think about spring and their summer holidays.

Not sure how I could be 'flattering myself' Alistair. It seemed to be part of the same conversation. No offence intended.

Dropped ot off to my mates garage to have him look at a VERY squeaky front drivers side wheel and also fit the new air filters and reset the flow meter

You won't believe this, well actually you will. I commented on someone changing the battery on a C class and said it wasn't a problem. So yesterday morning I set off to buy a few consumables and the odd tool, started the car as usual and then large red lights coolant low!, ESP faulty visit workshop!
Now I've been putting off changing the battery for a while as back a lot of months ago it threw a fit and wouldn't unlock and the indicators wouldn't work for a few hundred yards. So I stopped the car and restarted and no malfunctions and taking this as a second warning on my return a new battery was ordered.
How did it know I was commenting about it?
Anyway the date on the battery post was 06 08 so as my car is 2004 I take it it lasted 12 years an original MB 100AH with holograph. The new one just arrived there an hour ago, surprised me out in the sticks that they did it in less than 24 hours. Fitted it, tight fit a 100AH in a C class and (should I say this) all's well.
Oh, surprised the battery tray was in good nick give it a clean and a spray of good silicon.

Wasn't the drivers front, it was the drivers rear, the handbrake was binding a tiny bit so he freed it off with WD40 and a hammer, if it happens again a new cable will be needed

Well that was a particularly pants drive to Scotlandshire... M6 closed then very very wet and windy, then lost of floods across the roads.

Still here now, car performed faultlessly and still fun.

Had the new rear tyres fitted. I ordered Uniroyal Rain Sport 3, they sent Rain Sport 5.

Very different tread pattern and much more rim protection

Much squarer side wall than the RS3

You can see the difference in tread patterns, the RS5 as well as Sharks has Lightening bolts on the tread

Only used the car to hit some DIY stores for the last week .
Been on a full garage repair frenzy , recovered the garage roof , rubbed down all the woodwork and doors (neighbours garage is attached , so I’ve done both ) .
Repainted both doors and under coated the woodwork so far , another couple of days to go when the weather improves , then the diy moves into the house :(

Think you have done that the wrong way round!!!!
The roof started leaking before Christmas , this was the first dryish weather , the worst thing is that I knew the roof was going and put it off last summer .
It’s totally my fault that I’m outside working at the moment :D

Car booked in for diagnosis, looking like some kind of air leak. Second time code has appeared.
stuff

Whew 32% Long term fuel trim!

Leaking/Cracked PCV is most likely on this engine.

Gave the S212 a wash today with a test of the AG Polar Snow Foam I bought on a three for two at helfrauds a while back. Seems quite good but may thin the mix a little next time, the was the picture after already being on a couple of minutes, 1DF1644E-B625-4903-B592-AC9C456C2C01.jpeg
To be fair though I’ve not washed the car for almost 2 months ☹️
