New set of rear tyres. RS3's no longer available in my size, RS5's not available til end of March at earliest. Went for some Nexens as budget doesn't allow going dearer than the rainsports.
Although the RS3's were fine, they only lasted 10 000 miles and that was without hooning it.

10k is about right on the rear, I got 12k out of my last pair and now have RS5 on the rear

New front pads fitted £240, new rear tyre P zero 285x30x19 £198.00, 3 nights in a Jacobean Manor in Devon (not received final bill yet) god knows how much, bank balance following Xmas £0!

At least I should have some brownie points from the Mrs and Amex lol.

Finally part exchanged the 2010 SLK200K, for a Dec 2016 SLC 250d Line with loads of goodies.
Going from £300 road tax & 32 mpg, to £30 road tax & possibly 60mpg?

No law breaking at all, set cruise at 68 on the M-way and enjoyed the drive.

It was a choice of going out to lunch or washing the car so I am now one vegetable jalfrezi heavier.... The car is now looking very dirty..

Just the kind of circumstances that see people run out of fuel. I mostly drive with a full tank these days, but a few times in unforeseen circumstances I've been running on vapour. Not a good feeling.

Washed it vacced it out gave it a tank of Shell’s cheapest and drove it a bit. Not a bad day all in all. Saves been at work
