Mine doesn't. And it's aware of speed limit signs too. I've been thinking of using gaffer tape over the warning device but can't think of a way to install it without doing myself damage.

I've been contemplating a hood, like the ones that Falconers use. Once the bird can't see, she becomes less threatening, even calm. It's been mentioned many times to my speed limiter. She becomes quiet and there's a glint in the eye. I see what rodent prey sees in it's last moment on earth. I become quiet. I realise that although the hood is a brilliant idea, installation is beyond me.

Instead of a hood... Can I suggest the boot? Much more room! :D

Took it for a drive to the supermarket. I don’t usually use it for short runs but it hasn’t been out since the lockdown. Quite pleased to get 27.1mpg on the 15 mile round trip which reflects the lack of traffic - and plenty of space in the car park as well!

Just pads is my vote , I bet you are a gentle braker anyway . Due to change my E class discs and pads all round when the weather warms . Front and rear discs are original at 103k :D (second set of pads though )
Just ordered up the pads and wear sensors while I mull it over. I think the car must have had a change of discs already judging by the last time I inspected them, I do make sure they never get a chance to glaze as I do get them up to "temperature" most trips out ;)
Oh, I ordered up some power steering fluid to change out as I think that's all that remains to be done fluid wise.:D

You could contemplate a seal refurb on the calipers if you were say trapped at home :D

I know Wighty after I seen the job you did on yours  it's a temptation and I would soon have the car in pieces cleaning and painting.
Now if I had that workshop I wouldn't mind but after two weeks of almost unbroken sunshine it's bound to give up just as I get everything dismantled.
This car was just meant to bridge the gap until something better came along but the best laid plans etc. have had to change over the last 4 years :(

Just remember if you do the caliper overhaul and are at all concerned about the job , get someone else to test drive the car ;)

I started cleaning the insides out. Getting stir crazy but lots of book keeping and accounts for both businesses keeping me busy! I'm getting withdrawal from not using the spanners though!
