I'm liking the C63 Cab next to yours too Dave....

It's Tim Kemp's from the other forum John, Big Un's mate and another curry monster. :D Bought on a whim apparently.

That’s a good idea. I’m pretty deft with some tiny brushes I bought but I do like the idea of a quick fix! Thanks :)

If I may make a suggestion regarding little brushes? I've always used something like a cocktail stick for stone chips. It's how I was taught many years ago when we were limited on types of paint and I still use this method to this day.

It puts the correct amount exactly where it's needed, which is in the chip itself and not all around it. Usually takes a couple of goes for evaporation/drying, after that just go over it with a good compounding polish and you'll hopefully have a seamless repair. :)

I’ve met Tim a couple of times- had an SLK if I remember?
Likes his drones
Think I heard he’d got something nice

After a much awaited wait and numerous hints/jokes by @Blobcat i have completed an oil/filter change on the E class using the Pela pump :D .
5k since the last change , YES 5k , you read that correctly !
Edit , half the new oil added through the filler cap , half through the filter housing .

Can I have your old oil? It'll do the bus another 10k miles!

Hey you guys stop mocking Wighty :p......I too used to change the oil in my LD28 powered Volvo once the engine oil started to look a very light shade off clear, towards the end of the second year I thought this was getting just a little expensive buying new filters every month......the oil was free :D

I've recently replaced the evaporator on my 2000 w210 e430! (and condenser / drier Plus all the rubber seals) so if you don't know that meant taking out the whole dash. and hoping the compressor 140k miles still worked.. good news after a service - vacuum - regas it's working icy cold :) was alot of work and searching for the right bits at reasonable prices.. result

I diagnosed a sensor problem that has recently been occurring!
Whenever I would start the car the front sensor would go loopy and make a racket saying that I was too close to something in front, when I was actually nowhere near anything.
I was getting cross after cleaning them, it still happened!
Then I spotted something. The front number plate had popped one of the stickers and was protruding around 30mm and that was clearly making the problem as it's very near the nearside front sensor.
So much for 3M pads.
Stuck it back with a new sticky strip and problem gone :D:D
