I used to use Autoglym Super Resin polish so I don;t doubt doubt your results in the slightest. :)
If you want long lasting that all you need to do is wash in your normal way together with a very occasional spray top up then ceramic is the way to go.
Personally speaking I love washing my car, but just cant be bothered with spending potentially hours polishing anymore.
Maybe when ive done all the bodywork on the car i might consider a ceramic coating as down here in Shoreham we are blighted by hoardes of seagull just looking for nice shiny cars to poop on ha!

That would be a nightmare for me...because if there is one thing I hate to see on my car it is bird ****. And like you say they seem to target the nice shiny cars.
I once scratched the windscreen of my car trying to remove baked on hard bird ****. I was being too impatient but didnt think it would damage the glass.
Just shows you what damage can be done to paintwork.

Im with oldspanners, whats with these gobbledygook names for poish or whatever?, honestly the people who make this stuff really do come up with some fancy poncy names for their products to make them sound trendy, and people get sucked in by it! I just use a good old fashioned polish i use to use in the bodywork trade , like autoglym or 3M
Simoniz for me. :)
Traditional product that works well.

Yesterday I decided to change all 4 tyres on my 1983 W123 200. The ones fitted were OK but old and on the car when I bought it so decided to give the old lady some new boots. Have a mate with a fully equipped garage so drove over and let him do all the work! He found 2 of the wheels were 7J and the other two 2 were 6.5 j wide. One of each on either end. We only noticed when they were on the balancing rig and measured the width to set it up properly. They are now 7J on the rear and the 6.5 on the front. Can't help wondering how long that original mix had been on the car that way.
The day did get better tho'. As I was putting the car away, school bus pulled up outside and the driver who I am on 'nodding terms' with jumped out and came over noticing my 280TE said. "I had one of those a few years ago, still got loads of new spares and things, I'll bring them over and you can find a use for them, see ya soon" Got back in the bus and carried on taking the kids home.
So my day ended well.

Funny you shold mention Bilt Hamber because i swear by their shampoo - Auto Wash.
A sealant will last longer than a wax and is easy for the average person to apply, whereas a ceramic can last years and is best left for the professionals to apply.
Think of ceramic as a liquid glass coating that bonds with the paintwork.
I had mine done last December and it is a 3 year coating.

Received my Autel MaxiAP AP200 (probably a cheap Chinese knock-off) today and gave it a quick whirl with Autel’s AP200 and Benz-Diag app. Got it from AutelStore.co.uk as it said they were an authorised resellers..... but a quick check after purchase showed me that they they are not listed on Autel’s site as authorised, and I could not seem to find the AP200 for sale anywhere else other than from these grey import stores. Thought I had been scammed

With that said, it registered with Autel’s apps on iOS. Seems to work pretty well, shocked at number of stored codes and what was in there (I can post some examples of anyone wants to see)
A couple of things on the Autel apps though:
Diag report is good, and you can save to PDF however if you want the detail on the codes rather than just the summary, you have to go to each code for the technical readout that is captured, and the pdf export report only has the summary level. You can export each individual error in detail but this seems unnecessarily laborious (at least for an old car with lots of errors)
The second thing is there does not appear to be a way to clear all errors on all modules, you have to select each module one at a time to erase the codes, even though there is a single function to scan all of them.

Ultimately, it is a good piece of kit foe the price and gives me insight into info I didn’t have before, will be useful for when I go to see prospective replacement cars!

Gave the CLK a quick wash with Chemical Guys shampoo , then feeling motivated by the glorious weather I applied some Dodo Juice Lime Prime , followed by some Poorboys White Diamond. Well impressed by the paint now .

Took the Money Pit to the hand car wash, first time I have used this one and was very impressed. Got just the basic wash.
First it was a pressure blast, then they wash off the dirt by hand, then another blast followed by shampoo cover and another hand wash, followed by another pressure blast, then onto the drying, first the chamois, then a towel, inside the shut too and then a tyre black applied, all for 6 quid  The car looked really good. Then I took the Money Pit to my Local Indy for it diagnosis check and left it there so it can be tested when cold to find out its problem when cold. Expecting it will need a new torque convertor. Wish me luck chaps as I will hear tomorrow the doom and gloom :(

Good luck! If it is, hope the torque converter isn’t too costly to replace!

Thanks th3h1ghlander :)
The labour will be free, the part will be the most expensive part as my mate who owns a breakers yard said he will sell me the TC but comes with the transmission  But it will be a good deal

Damn! People are evil...this is the kind of reason that I stopped getting my car washed (yes I understand it is no excuse). I actually got a self-employed local mobile car wash to come over and give the car a wash. At least I know he isn’t pimping himself out.

Heaven's no, I want this operation to stay put ;)
As long as they’re following the rules then no issue. I’d check your alloys regularly as 38% hypochlorite really gets that brake dust off…

Really or rarely?? It wont matter to much as the alloys on the Money Pit are 16" complete with corrosion :( I've got a set of 17s which also need a refurb....future plans eh
