Nice job on the wheels. I've done two sets over the past few years. One job on daughters car with similar spoke pattern to yours and all fine after 4yrs. The other was a close together multi-spoke pattern and I didn't get a good enough finish between the spokes so after two years that picked up impossible to clean off brake dust discolouration. Thinking of doing the ones on the recently bought Viano but they are acceptable now so may make that a next summer job when I'll have worked through all the other stuff and have less to do on it.

Just ticked off another of my "new to me" vehicle snagging jobs on the Viano. After a couple of days owning noticed the drivers side front wheel arch liner was blowing back and rubbing on the tyre wearing away as it's fixing to the bumper was broken. Made a temp repair the other day but finally found a used liner from a breakers and also a new bumper lower edge to body frame mounting bracket which was broken too (this bracket also carries the alarm siren).

It's obviously been caught on a high kerb as the 40mm lower lip of the bumper has also broken away for about 20cm at the outer edge. Now I have the full frontal shaping of the replaced liner and correct positioning of the bumper on the new bracket it will be easy to fabricate/repair this lip in GRP copying the nearside.

This is the problem with a 9yr old vehicle... if you keep looking there is always a job.

Either my eyesight was getting better or the wheels were getting worse so I give it a go . Didn't look to closely at the finished product like the man said perfection is the enemy of good enough. That'll do me

The 55 is booked in to have a new wires and engine ECU plugs fitted.
Lessons to be learnt, make sure fuse box cover is clipped in tightly on the r230 otherwise over a period of time water gets in and will corrode the pins and make for unusual performance issues won't the Alex

I see an R230 as being very similar to a Land Rover...

It's almost impossible stopping water coming in, so you're better just adding some holes to let it back out again...

I've heard that your garage has a gantry complete with rope and champagne bottled attached which automatically activate when you launch err, I mean drive your R230 out......

Drove it to Bracknell and back for work, got 46mpg on the way up and 42 on the way back. It reminded me what a complete car it is, does everything you want and well.

My only gripe is a lack of digital radio

I can get 44/45 mpg on a run from my petrol C200 !

How did you know my R230 is inside the garage waiting to be launched........underwater camera have we??
