Those Conifer type bushes should be removed Alex, they're taking up a another car space ;)
Tell me about it! Unfortunately they are next doors :)

Polishing a car in hot weather is rarely a good idea....avoid if at all possible....ask how I know!!!!!
Poorboys black hole is an exception Jim. States on the bottle can be used in all weathers and it does go on easily and polishes up nicely, even when its baking hot.

Bilt Hamber wax on the other hand..............................a nightmare to apply on hot paintwork (ask me how I know;))
Still haven't waxed it, and it needs another wash to remove pollen and traffic film now:(

Took it to be washed by my nice men who look after me well ( to get their tip)
All the dust and pollen gone now and looking beautiful again. Too hot for Sonax BSD today but it's supposed to be cooling down somewhat soon.

Got back yesterday, WOW it was hot!!!!! The car is filthy, has a layer of dust all over it, will have to wash it off this week.

It seems Lando is the British Publics new darling closely followed by Russel and Fernando by ABBA has been renamed "for Lando".

Well it went like this. Indicator stalk had been playing up not staying in position when turning right sometimes and progressively had to hold it. Finally got annoying enough for me to want to change it. Ordered the part from Auto Doc finally arrived yesterday, stripped the steering wheel, airbag connectors, angle sensor, clock spring and stalk started to fit it back and had difficulty. Finally noticed that they had sent a stalk with 6 connectors and not 5 as on mine:shock:
Not satisfied with that mistake I then decided to pull the old stalk apart to investigate and after a couple of hours with YouTube I had it cleaned and back together. Put it all back on the car, reconnected the battery and no indicators at all   .
Emailed Auto Doc for a return no reply as yet so ordered the correct one from Oscaro who show the number of connections and the VIN range of fitment. So now restricted to Golf driving or just drive like the French, ie. no indicators.
I'll be getting good at taking the steering wheel off for sure.

Can't see any problem Oldspanners, change the Mercedes badge for a BMW one or an Audi one........You can then still drive legally ;)

Bit of mixed Motorway and A roads today to have a look at a potential renovation project and also a plot of land. Top down all the way, air con rubbish and car said 32.5C outside. Irritating traffic congestion here and there. Not bad mpg considering the top was down. I reckon only 1-2 mpg worse than with the top up..

Service and mot at Star motor services, in Reading this morning. Walked into Reading and sat by the river drinking coffee and watching the world go by until the car was done.
Thanks Ian, great job and good to meet you, see you next time
