Had yellow Eml light come on for low boost from turbo one. Highly annoying. Booked in for Thursday. Hoping just a split pipe or something simple. 10 months old. 7k miles.

Fitted smart top module to the SL350. What a fantastic bit of kit! One touch memory seats, one touch roof control from the console switch. Really brings the car up to date.
Any advice on what speed to set for the roof control? Got it on 19 mph at the moment but feeling like it’s a lot of weight to be moving at any sort of speed, what do you think?

Took our e280 for a run to Loughton in Essex from Bournemouth and back 275 miles of comfort.
Gave her a good blow out on M3, ran much cleaner afterwards.
Really enjoying this car.

It’s wind dependent as well, 10mph would probably be my limit.
I want one for my SLK, just spending too much money on eating out at the moment to afford one…

Thanks, I’ll change the setting to a lower speed, I think. Probably be used mainly from the remote before getting in the car or after parking, but will be handy not to have to stop completely if it starts raining while the roof is open.

Ist anniversary of purchasing the w212, finally got a chance for some motorway driving and a chance to check the MPG. It showed 5.7 per 100 KLms,,,I'm happy with that, But was a bit surprised at the speed needed for 7th gear to kick in..minimum 90 Kph. ..or 55 MPH. Is this normal???

Got mine set to max but only ever operate at 20mph or less. Had to do that today as it poured down just as I hit a bendy road! Car behind was impatient then once complete wondered where the hell I disappeared to ;-).

Pointless harassing a V8, when you only have 4 cylinders!

Crap sticky pads? I had this problem, then used proper 3M ones.
I think I need to clean the face properly. Nothing seems to stick to it but sticks like s**t to a blanket on the plate itself.
I might have to use screws!!!!!:shock:

I used to use mine at traffic lights when stopped. By the time you pull away again and are up to 15mph the roof is shut

Use 19mm 3M VHB tape,
3 strips the full length of the plate, it ain't going nowhere. :)

Thin frame mounting plate is what you really need, they screw in and then you just clip your plates in, no need to worry about the tape then
