New 12 month ticket in the 169 today, just a few advisories but nothing I’m worried about or didn’t really know of, check the mileage between last year and this year and she’s only done just under 2 thousand miles, annoyingly I know it’s not been getting long runs that often either so going to have to make a decision at some point on what to do with the old girl. That said for a 17 year old car with 92k miles it’s not doing badly

Just bought all the wood trim and steering wheel with wood inlays for the wife's CLK Cab. Only want the wood bits so there will be ebony leather door and rear panels for sale in about two weeks if anyone is looking for some.

New near side front winter tyre for the 212 this morning, I’d swapped all the other o et a couple of weeks ago but the one on that corner wasn’t holding air when out in the rim, seems as though a mouse had had a good go at it in storage. So the old ones and one new one now on the car for this winter, then next year I’ll replace all for and just sell that random one on

What a cold morning but not to worry I used the heated seats and thought I’d try the heated steering wheel (very impressed) for the first time in 6 years of ownership - I must be getting old lol
Check you with your heated straying wheel, that said they are nice, just wish I had it on my 212, oh and that the seat base actually warmed up these days, just the back at the moment, so I know a the pad has failed

Didn’t know the car had it but the other half likes the heated seats on and someone on the forum mentioned a heating steering wheel the other day so thought I’d see if it was on the options list on my car. Very impressed with how quickly both heat up, the BMW is the same. A failed pad sounds expensive I’d have to live in Eastern Europe to bother to replace I think

When it’s like this outside a fully heated seat is something I’m suddenly missing

Hope the new place is to your liking certainly one of my favourite places in the UK
There’s a couple of issues with the house but they’ll be overcome with time and money. But one thing we are really struggling with is socialising our little girl, at just over two and a half she’s not quite big enough to go to school and other than a playgroup once a week just can’t find children for her to play with, very disheartening for us to go to the park in the village and not see a single other child there for days, then if one is there, they maybe stay for 20 minutes before the parents take them home again. Just a world of difference to what we had in the last village.

I must admit, I've been revelling in my heated (and fan-assisted) seats, and hugging the heated steering wheel, these last few week! :)
I actually started the car the other morning and went and sat in the passenger seat while it was defrosting, it was lovely and as you, I had the ventilated seat on too to blow the warm air around me a bit more

Heated seats were one of the must haves when we were looking for the R Class.
In the end we bought an R with rear heated seats too!

After the base of my heated seats has stopped working, I have to totally agree with you. I have been looking for a CLS to replace my C-Class and I can’t believe they even produced versions without heated seats…shocking!

Spent a little time refitting the new core plugs and started to refit the intake manifold, so glad I took pictures before removing the manifold and fuel pipes, what a palaver
I had forgotten the fuel pipe snapped off at the filter end, phone Grangemouth and got the only one available in the country and no stock in Germany
The fuel pipe is like a hollowed out Stick of Rock!

Should get the manifold all bolted up in the morning?

What a faff
Someone going to get a new old Money Pit when I sell her o_O
