So far on my mission to get this car back to where it should be ...
New discs and pads all round, Then i found the handbrake mechs were completely destroyed, So had to take everything back apart and also replace the backplates as they had rusted through. ( What a mission that was)
Oil and filter
Diff oil
Today we will be doing the fuel filter ( wrong part supplied by mercedes)
Transmission fluid

All parts supplied by Merc. Star parts are awesome !

Looked at it on the drive.
It's effectively a pretty big brick at the moment until it's get looked at for the brake recall.

The SL on the other hand has had a good few top down runs out. Went to watch grandsons Cup Final yesterday in it (they lost).

Wait until you look at roofbox options for it.

I’ve just finished assembling the twin Kamei setup in prep for getting ours back… image.jpg

Thought I better post something in case I get sacked or something. So I washed the car today unsurprisingly the fist time in over seven months and treated it to a new cover as the last one is showing signs of global warming after three years. Post a couple of photos for Wighty as he always looks for proof, no before and after you can decide! wash.jpg wash1.jpg

Nice little top down drive up the motorway this evening. Not always a fan of top down on M-Ways as the wind noise bugs me, I had my motorcycling ear plugs with me and put those in. I can seriously recommend them :)

They have filters in so can still here the radio and traffic, just takes out the high frequency wind noise.
