My wife has decided one of my Mercs has to go - women. So what is the following worth:

1995 E320CE Coupe
156k miles
Nearly full SH (one missing - done by a mechanic friend of the last owner)
Lots of other receipts.

Just had: head skimmed, new exhaust and cat, rear brakes, ECU rebuilt.
Just serviced. 12 months MOT (23 May) and tax (31 May).

She is red with cream leather. Everything works incl air con. Has a Blaupunkt Travelpilot. Has 16inch W211 alloys with Continentals/Michelins. Will come with the original wheels also.

Has the usual rust in the front guard area. Also has a couple of other blemished consistent with age.

What is the value of the car?

You have not said if the wife has to go.

Things have changed now in the most expensive things that we buy.

1 = Wife
2 = House
3 = car

Trouble is you are past the age that Glass's Guide cover so it is often up to mileage, appearance, condition and what someone will pay in response to an advert. e-bay works for some. Autotrader worth a look and will give you a guide. Drop into a Merc dealer and ask for a part exchange price. may not be what you want but gives you a ball park figure to try and beat with a private sale.

Worth remembering the AA are often quoted as saying that 8 years is the average life of a car. More for a Merc of course.:)
