I picked up a 1990 300TE 24v yesterday. There is this badge just below the n/s headlamp. (I hope that a photo appears here). Is it genuine or an aftermarket piece of bling? If it is genuine, what model car have I got? There is very little paperwork that came with the vehicle. Thanks

Just checked out the Russian site. All pretty accurate. Just one more question. What is a sports chassis? Dealers have asked me when I've been in for parts in the past but I haven't a clue what the difference between normal and sports is. According to the Russians, this car has a sports chassis.
Thanks.

Lower springs and suspension set up, that is the main difference.

The badge you have there is from a Jaguar. I once saw an AMG badge on the back of a 7 series BMW. Dreamer......
