I have owned a Merc for the last 7yrs (W202, C280 1995, current). The love of this car caused me to buy a second, R129, 1999 SL 320 (Full blown love affair.) This is the first time in my 55yrs, I have owned a vehicle with leather.
What product is recommended for leather and interior trim. There are so many products on the market, I'm stumped! WHAT IS GOOD AND WORKS?

Leather tanning has changed over the years and become nature friendly since 200o or there abouts and products that contain natural oils should not be used

Try Gliptone if you like the smell of new leather. Remarkable stuff really does make the whole car smell wonderful.

As most modern car leathers are actually PU coated cleaning can easily be done using mild solution of Fairy Liquid and then wipe over with a clean damp cloth.

Thanks Amo. I had a look at this product and will give it a go. I'm also going to look at RENOVO products for other bits and soft top.

1999 S210 E240, my first Merc. Rusty but I love it!!
Just reading this thread, and I have found that baby wipes (normally the Pampers ones) clean up my leather 3 piece suite indoors a treat!! If they can get biro ink off leather, not sure what they are doing to the little one though....;)
