hi

i need to buy a pack of these, probably need about 20 or so. Merc sells them but i'd prefer a cheaper alternative!

does anyone know the correct term for one so i can google suppliers. B&Q dont sell them as i tried.

the function is to go between panels so a self tapping screw tightens the two parts together.

Did you know that they were around in the 50s and were used to hold the backs on TV sets

back when customer service was paramount, rather than a quick shoddy job and having no time to get to know your customers personally so that you can look after them better! ive heard of such times! back when things were repaired rather than replaced!

I had more happy memories with the customers rather than the TV that they had :cool::cool:

I serviced TV's for a small rental chain when I first left school in the 1960's. I remeber some of the customers better than the sets as well, especially the husband who came home drunk while I was cleaning a set and attacked me with 5 feet of gas pipe! Missed me and smashed the set:lol:

I knew I could rely on you for technical information in Malcolm's absence. :)

I suppose a virtuous spiral beats a vicious circle every time?
